Nursery

Riccall CP School now has a nursery, which we call our Foundation 1 (or F1) class. Our Nursery has a maximum capacity of 30 places per session.  26 places for three and four year olds and 4 places for two year olds.

All Children aged three and four are entitled to 15 hours of free funded nursery education the school term after they turn 3 years old.   The morning session runs from 9am–12pm with the option to pay for an additional hour for lunch from 12pm-1pm.  The afternoon session runs from 12pm-3pm, this session includes lunch. The length of each session is 3 hours, although a 6 hour session is available 9am-3pm.

Lunchtimes will be incorporated into the full day session. There is an option to bring a packed lunch or purchase a school dinner (additional charge for school dinner of £1.85).

The fees for sessions that are not paid through government funding are £5 per hour.  Each 3 hour session is therefore £15.   Invoices are sent each half term for payment in advance of that half term.  Additional sessions can be booked and paid for on an ad hoc basis if there is availability.  These sessions must be paid for within 7 days.  Payment is made through the School Money system.  Non-payment will result in withdrawal of additional sessions.

By agreeing to care for your child, we are undertaking a financial commitment therefore, we expect a commitment from you that your child will attend the same sessions for a full term.  Any changes will require a half terms notice.

If your child does not attend a session for any reason (holidays, illness, etc), we will still make a charge. Similarly, during unexpected ad-hoc closures of the setting (for example, due to inclement weather or loss of heating/water), charges will still apply.
